INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Materials Needed:

  • Bottle sealing wax
  • Heat-resistant container (such as a melting pot or saucepan)
  • Heat source (electric hotplate, or slow cooker)
  • Silicone stirring utensil
  • Bottles to be sealed
  • Protective gloves (recommended)

Step 1: Prepare Your Work Area

  1. Choose a well-ventilated workspace with a stable surface.
  2. Cover your work area with protective material (e.g., parchment paper or silicone mats) to catch drips.
  3. Ensure bottles are clean and dry before sealing.

Step 2: Melting the Wax

  1. Place the wax blocks into a heat-resistant container.
  2. Heat the wax slowly using your chosen heat source, maintaining a temperature of 80-90°C (176-194°F) for optimal consistency.
  3. Stir occasionally to ensure even melting and avoid overheating, which can cause discoloration or affect adhesion.

Step 3: Dipping the Bottles

  1. Hold the bottle upside down and dip the neck into the melted wax.
  2. Submerge to your desired depth (usually 1-2 inches).
  3. Slowly lift the bottle out, allowing excess wax to drip back into the container.
  4. If a smoother finish is desired, gently rotate the bottle while lifting.

Step 4: Cooling & Setting

  1. Allow the wax to set by placing the bottle upright on a non-stick surface.
  2. Wax typically hardens within 30-60 seconds, but allow extra time for full curing.
  3. If necessary, re-dip for a thicker or more uniform coat.

Step 5: Cleanup & Storage

  1. Unused melted wax can be left in the container for future use or poured into a mold for easy storage.
  2. Wipe down tools while warm to prevent wax buildup.
  3. Store unused wax in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Tips for Best Results:
✔ Ensure bottles are at room temperature to prevent cracking.
✔ Experiment with dipping angles for unique finishes, such as drips or smooth seals.

✔ plunge the freshly dipped bottle into icy water to achieve a glossier finish
